Jeung-Hwa Park is a textile artist whos work really captivates and interests me. Everything about it is so appealing.
“Softly rounded textures transform this delicately coloured two-dimensional, machine knitted woollen fabric into a three-dimensional sculpture. Using nuts, seeds and beans, the artist ties tiny bundles over selected sections of the fabric before dyeing and felting the fabric” Quote taken from Textiles Now
I love Parks work so much. It is down to her ability to choose the most subtle yet stunning colours, and combine them with delicate textures. There is something very natural and organic about her work, and the way that she uses items such as nuts and chickpeas to create her work is very fresh.
